What motivated you to get into motorsport?

I’ve always been into extreme sports as I grew up a national ranked water skier. Motorsports was never in the plan for me but after participating in a NASCAR ride along I was absolutely hooked. I never thought after that one experience I’d be now racing in the W Series!

What advice would you give to girls thinking about getting into motorsport?

No matter what background you come from, odds will be stacked against you. Some have it easier, some have it harder. My advice would be to be a resourceful as you can. When where’s a will there’s a way. Learn, build a good team of people around you and never give up. But know that times will get tough and the more resourceful you are the better your chances are for success.

What would it mean to you to win the W series?

That everything my family has sacrificed wasn’t only worthwhile but, an American dream come true. The passion I have for this sport and industry out weights any fame or prize money. I do it because I flat out love being in a race car. I feel free, powerful and totally fuelled on adrenaline. Clinching the win would completely change my life, it would be a huge step in my career.
