Vittoria “Vicky” Piria is an Italian racer who was born in 1993 in Milan. Vicky speaks both Italian and English fluently and has an Italian father and British mother.

Vicky’s career highlights include racing in Formula Renault and GP3 Series (now FIA Formula 3 Championship).

Vicky was motivated to get into motorsport after her father bought her brother a go-kart. She wanted to compete and share an experience with him which pushed her into karting.

Who is your inspiration and why?

Probably my mum. She is so strong when she has to and is the main support for my family.

What advice would you give to girls thinking about getting into motorsport?

To have fun. If you have fun racing, testing, talking with mechanics and working with your engineers you will be faster. Also to not make the gender difference a problem, you can’t expect other people to not see it as a problem if you are the first person that does it.

What would it mean to you to win the W Series title?

In this moment everything. After 5 years practically out racing it would mean that I can still be the best version of myself, as a woman and as a driver.
