Get set for the W Series Esports League

The brand-new W Series Esports League gets underway this Thursday, 11th June and here is how you can watch all of the drama unfold…

Legendary Italian circuit Autodromo Nazionale di Monza is the stage for the opening round of three races, with rounds at nine more legendary circuits to follow every Thursday between now and 13th August when the first W Series Esports League champion will be crowned at Silverstone.

The 10 W Series Esports League rounds will be streamed on our TwitchYouTube and Facebook channels every Thursday from 19:00 BST.

Our all-star commentary team of Luke Crane, David Coulthard, Lee McKenzie and Billy Monger will guide you through all the action with expert analysis and driver interviews.

Working with our partners Logitech G, Beyond Entertainment and iRacing, the opening round will feature three races:

  • Race 1 – 15 mins
  • Race 2 (Reverse Grid) – 15 mins
  • Race 3 – 20 mins

The starting grid for the reverse-grid race will be determined by the finishing positions from race one. To promote close, fair competition and an authentic ‘League’ feel, W Series Esports League points for each race will be awarded as follows:

  • Race 1: 20-17-15-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (1st – 15th) & 1 point for fastest lap
  • Race 2: 20-17-15-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (1st – 15th) & 1 point for fastest lap
  • Race 3: 20-17-15-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (1st – 15th) & 1 point for fastest lap

At the end of the W Series Esports League season, the driver who has scored the most points will be declared the winner of the W Series Esports League.

Unlike many other sim-racing initiatives, the W Series Esports League will be contested by women only, with W Series drivers from past and present seasons taking part.
