W Series today announces that Hankook will continue as its official tyre partner for the 2022 season.
Hankook has been an official partner of W Series since its inaugural season in 2019, continuing to supply tyres in 2021 when W Series staged eight races at Grands Prix weekends, alongside Formula 1.
With its extended partnership, Hankook will provide tyres for W Series’ pre-season test in Barcelona at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. 20 drivers will attend the three-day test from 2nd – 4th March to showcase their abilities in W Series’ Tatuus T-318 Formula 3 race cars ahead of the 2022 season.
Hankook has vast motorsport expertise as the partner of many racing series around the world and will provide optimal support for W Series throughout the season. The cars will be fitted with the Ventus Race F200 slick tyres in dry conditions and the Z217 tyres in intermediate or wet conditions. In addition, Hankook’s engineers and mechanics will provide support throughout the season, helping W Series’ drivers extract more performance from the tyres.
Hankook and W Series will work together on a number of digital campaigns across the season to promote the partnership and their shared aim of promoting women in motorsport.
